Another “must visit” place when I am in DC. Try the baklava - it’s great!

There were a ton of people at the store, and 1 person working there. He was fast, nice, and focused. He is great employee! The ice cream was delicious!! Thank you for great service Larry’s Ice Cream! May 3, 2018.

Cool place. Unique flavors.

The ice cream and sorbet was amazing! The area smelled like fresh chocolate from the baked goods and fresh ice cream! Most importantly, Larry was amazing and friendly! Felt like I was at home with family making and eating fresh desserts! Highly recommend!

Down the stairs off of Connecticut Ave. Unassuming, but hides some wonderful hand-scooped ice-cream options. Lots of flavors. Can get busy at times, but also fantastic people watching opportunities along the window as they walk by. Prices are what you'd expect for an ice-cream shop in DuPont Circle, which is to say a bit high. But quality product. Enjoyable dessert.

We originally tried going to a different ice cream place first but it was too busy. I'm glad we switched. You can taste the authenticity in the ice cream because it's made in shop. The employees were extremely friendly and very sarcastic so it made you feel as if you were family.

Not good ice cream (They call it homemade, but it's like the cheapest ice cream from the dollar store). Dirty place. The cashier was an unfriendly and rude man.

Their ice cream has true alcohol, not flavor, in their hand made products!

I have a severe nut allergy and I was able to get ice cream from them with my cousins! I’ve never been able to get ice cream from shops before because of my allergy but he made me feel super safe!! Different machines, different scoopers, super seperate and good!!! I got the cinnamon oatmeal cookie dough ice cream and it was impecable!!

Ordered sugar free vanilla ice cream and it was the best I've had in a while. This place is a basement shop that is currently only allowed 4 patrons at a time. The wait was worth it! None of the flavors had freezer burn, all tasted fresh and creamy, and most importantly the selection was great! The prices were reasonable and matched the portion sizes.

Really good ice cream, Larry is hilarious. But it's expensive. $15 for a small and a large.

There's tons of options and everything is great, my favorite is the green tea ice cream

The ice cream is AMAZING. I had toasted coconut and cookie dough; there was mouthfuls of cookie dough throughout. It was divine. Expensive, but worth it; there’s no point to eat ice cream unless you do it right! The owner was also willing to make my husband a milkshake with espresso in it, which tasted awesome. We also brought home baklava with pistachio for dessert after dinner; don’t know if it will make it that long....

Yum! Cute place with lots of unique flavors! The owner is hilarious and friendly. I got decadent (dark chocolate with white chocolate ganache) and paradise (berry-ish) — both were hit the spot on such a hot day, although decadent was a little too hard and paradise was a little too soft and sweet.

The owner was so sweet!! I became a regular right as I had to leave. Ily Larry. I hope we meet again.

Great little ice cream shop. You can tell this place has been here a LONG time, but it's great. There person at the front counter was friendly and we never felt rushed, even when other people were coming in. The ice cream is great.

3 times in eight days...we just couldn't decide so came back to try all the ones we wanted!

Unique flavors in an unassuming place, but I watched the lady behind the counter use her bare hands to scrape ice cream off the scoop (she was filling a bucket with ice cream) so I won’t be going back.

Very good homemade ice cream went there before everything changed.The best rum raisin ice cream different flavors pasties drinks,good service,the prices are kinda high but its worth it very clean store.

I got the peanut butter and resees icecream. The icecream was chalky and the chocolate was waxy tasting. Not appealing.

They only take cash!!! I got the roasted coconut in a waffle cone. There were coconut flakes in the ice cream that made it so delicious.

This ice cream was very creamy and therapeutic for myself and my lady. I will be returning friends to share the treat of this wonderful shop in DC. The owner was also very kind and helpful to all the customers.

Super rich and tasty ice cream - gotta go with the sprinkle cone! Tried the mud slide and ‘decadence’ flavor, and it was a great combination! Costs about $8 for a double scooped cone. Nice to enjoy on a warm and sunny day, give it a try if you’re in the area!

The ice cream is actually pretty good but I did not like the atmosphere. Whoever was behind the counter was grumpy and it seemed like we were a nuisance.

It makes me happy coming here 🙂

Distinctive flavors

The ice cream here is amazing. They have a lot of different flavors (like lavender and green tea) and it's all really creamy and delicious! I tried the regular chocolate and cinnamon oatmeal cookie dough. It was the best combination!

I got ecstasy (Vanilla ice cream with chocolate fudge swirl) which was maybe the most basic flavor but not in taste! It was delightful! Then I came back for the mango sorbet and I was equally satisfied! The price is kind of high but it’s still really good!

The taste of the Chocolate Key West is amazing! Very creamy and absolutely delicious! Don't waist your time waiting in line at DC Cupcake. Go here!!!

This place is amazing. We're on vacation here, this is a must place visit.

On the one hand, the flavors are unique (Kahlua chocolate chunk, cinnamon oatmeal cookie dough, creme de menthe) and I love that their flavors have real chocolate chunks (I hate places that use tiny chips or worse, just chocolate shavings). The guy that works here is polite and quick with service. Plus they serve baklava and cupcakes, so it’s a bit more than an ice cream shop. On the other hand, it’s pricey. I got two scoops and my fiancé got a milkshake and it set us back $15.

I was putting high expectations based on the reviews. Icecream is ok, baklava is moist and not crispy with very small amount of nuts whether pistachio or walnuts. It seemed overpriced for the quality.

We had fun with the Gentleman who served us! Lots of fun! We loved our ice cream, so much so we had it two nights in a row! The Green Tea and Coconut is the best!!

Excellent ice cream. Family had a few different things but we all liked it very much. My son and I had the cookie dough and I think there was pistachio and Oreo.

2 of us got different flavors and they tasted the same! Not much flavor and if you get something that’s supposed to have chocolate chips or other mix-ins inside, expect NONE! Would not recommend

Came to enjoy ice cream in this shop for first time guess and it turns out that they are close... till 3 pm they need to update there time issue

I've gone here a few times over the years. They have a decent selection in ice cream flavors, but the ambience is below average and the staff are not friendly. They are often on the phone speaking loudly. The cupcakes were below average but the baklava is decent.

Excellent taste! I actually tried the strawberry ice cream cone with a cup of coffee 😎 and both were delicious! Very clean and organized service bar.

Owner was very nice to talk to. The Ice cream was delicious, definitely glad I stopped in on the way back to my car from dinner with a friend. I will definitely stop by again..
